Top ten albums of all time

Billy Joel - Glass Houses
OMD - Dazzle Ships
David Bowie - Low
The Who - Who's next
Squeeze - Argy Bargy
ABC - The Lexicon of Love
Depeche Mode - Violator
The Eagles - One of These Nights
Faith No More - Album of the Year
Thomas Dolby - The Golden Age of Wireless

Interesting how many folks put Dazzle Ships here. I prefer Architecture & Morality, but I like Dazzle Ships a lot too. I remember seeing them in the States in the 80s after So in Love and a bunch of teenage girls were screaming for them to play their "hit" while me and my friends are screaming for This is Helena.

So aliens finally make contact and all you send them is British rock music? Okay.
Can someone please clarify. Is this some kind of Desert Island Discs type exercise where I choose the 10 albums I would own if I could only own 10 or am I supposed to choose albums I don't like to impress the aliens?

So many brilliant albums chosen already.

Can I add:

The Moody Blues In Search Of The Lost Chord
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Ultravox Systems Of Romance
Supertramp Crime Of The Century
Simple Minds New Gold Dream (81;82;83;84)

The thread should be called "Your 10 favourite albums of all time" then.
