Cameron gets his arsed kicked in EU Referendum vote. Will he bite the bullet and start bumming Farage to placate the rebels?

I think its quite possible we could see a split not to dissimilar to that what happened to the left in the early 80s.

Two right wing Tory parties. One centrist and pro - Europe and one to the far right and anti - Europe possibly merging with UKIP

The Tories love to fall out over the EU dont they. When will they realise most people appear to see the EU as a minor issue compared to the Economy, jobs, the NHS etc

Recent UKIP success has proved that the EU is a major issue and it affects all those other things you mentioned.

But keep believing it isn't if you want...

Regardless of UKIP, which is not a cause but a symptom of the Tory's problems, they'll move to the right, they always do when they realise that can't command a majority come the next election, they play to their core vote, hunker down and wait for the next go.

It's the reason why they are one of the most successful political parties in the western world, their driving force, above all other considerations, is the maintenance of power.
