Yes it was. I was there. It was only Cornwall but it was a total eclipse. It would be impossible for the whole uk to have a total eclipse for obvious reasons.

It was a beautiful day, some very high, wispy cloud that didn’t detract from the event at all. The eclipse itself was just amazing. The photos you can get from a mobile phone don’t do it any justice whatsoever. We watched it from the plaza between the basketball arena and the baseball stadium, where we went afterwards to watch the Guardians beat the Chicago White Sox.

We had a fantastic view of it; the sky stayed practically cloudless, apart from a few wispy, very light ones.

The total eclipse was only visible in a small area of the world.

Manchester City's eclipse of the rags over the last decade and a half is clear for all to see.
