Can someone help me out with an argument vs a rag?

Im looking for stats on us + 'the big four'-total spending (on tansfer fees) over the following periods

1 year

3 years

5 years

10 years

Since the prem started

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

text your question to 63336 any questions answered they'll put the rag in his place

work your way through this site
it has all the transfers going back years

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/</a>

go to premiership then transfers and then select the years you want

That's a strange one, they've got Rio Ferdinand down as costing 41.4m, it wasn't that much, was it ?

It goes back to 1997/98:

In that time(Including the sale of Ronaldo), Manchester United's transfer turnover is -£214,380,000.<br /><br />-- Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:53 am --<br /><br />

Might be add-ons and clauses.

try <a class="postlink" href="http://www.soccerbase.com/home.sd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.soccerbase.com/home.sd</a>

this pretty much has it all the way back to the start of the prem although not as detailed

It's astounding info, really shows how badly some clubs (toon, City, spurs) have historically been managed.

Of course to get a true picture you would have to adjust for inflation, and ideally your inflation adjustment would relate to football inflation, not wider inflation.
