PEP: All the players want to play good, play well, be part of the team. We have a squad with huge quality and when they play they play good because if it doesn't happen another one can play.

PEP: After the defeat to Lyon and the early goal at Hoffenheim, the situation was critical. But we have been good, at a high level, and the situation is now in our hands. It’s now time to focus on the Premier League - anything can happen.

PEP: (Wembley pitch condition) is what it is. Hopefully Tottenham can finish the stadium as quickly as possible but it’s not necessary to complain. We have to adapt quickly. The pitch will not be in perfect condition. We have to play that way.

Manchester City rejected Tottenham's offer to play Monday's game at the Etihad Stadium and Spurs have played down concerns about the state of the Wembley pitch after the NFL games being held there. [ESPN FC]

Tottenham are hopeful that Dele Alli could recover from a month-long hamstring injury in time to face Manchester City on Monday night. [Evening Standard]

PEP: There's only two points difference between five or six teams (at the top of the league). It’s strong. Tottenham are always there. Last season we did really well in both games but they are a top team.

PEP: Spurs play with five at the back sometimes, sometimes diamond, sometimes 4-2-3-1. They can use it and change again. When you know a team does the same thing, it’s easier to control it. They sometimes play Son with Dele Ali, they can change it. You have to be prepared.

Notes from Pep's presser: - Pep credited the physios for fitness levels and said only Gundogan has a problem. - On the Wembley pitch: "It is what it is." - Pitch won't impact KDB selection decision. - Pep has no doubt more than City and Liverpool will challenge for the title.

Absolute joke, the state of the pitch will be a key factor. Pochettino basically admitted its a leveller in his press conference so I imagine the groundkeeper will be making no effort to make it the best pitch possible.

I think this is a game where we cannot lose otherwise we will drop down to fourth. They are only 2 points behind us and a win will put them above us. We need atleast a point here. Really interested to see how Pep plays this one. Would he go all out or would he take a cautious approach like Pool.

Shit pitch, shit ref, media's second favourite team. Frustrating defeat after another 28 shots on target and only one goal, cue a Deli Alli winner late on and ensuing media wankfest about Spurs being title challengers. Fucking hell I hope I'm wrong.
