Correct, i presume that is where a lot of media, teams, refs where standing during the games. It may be worn away but i think this pitch is basically 90% plastic so it may not tear up as much as other grounds.

My understanding is that the percentages are the other way round. I think only 5%-10% of the pitch is allowed to be plastic
