Right, but for a lower league team that needs the money, why would you agree to be tested if it means the game could be cancelled? Testing either has to be mandatory, and it should be, or if it stays optional the "punishment" should be a postponement so teams don't take dumb risks just to get the game in.
That's what the football league needs to work out unfortunately. They should cover the costs, I have no idea all that stuff costs.
I know Levy and the O's chairman wanted it postponed and to go ahead. There is a huge amount of charity work involved in this game and it meant a lot to the Orient players and the staff at Spurs. Unfortunately they couldn't put out a squad because of the infection rate. I'm hoping they have a game in the summer with a full crowd (wishful thinking perhaps)
Of course people will have a pop at Spurs over this. All so predictable.
Its going to get messy this season, but with clubs in the shit lower league finances and TV rating money for the premier league money talks
