Tottenham Hotspur thread (2015/16)

Lol @ Chelsea being a good shout. Only 2 teams have even finished in the top half with their amount of points at this stage of the season. With the highest of those positions being 8th.

They have to win 19 of their next 22 games to get to the average points total for 4th place. Not going to happen in this league.

A good shout for the odds only, just for an accumulator or something, I think it's now 12-1, not something I'd chase. I think 68pts is the lowest there has been, but with teams like Spurs, Liverpool, United and Everton stuttering there could be the lowest 4th place in years. I wouldn't bet on Chelsea but for someone who likes to chase high odds it's worth a gamble

They are after the beast on loan in Jan.

If he's free we should bring him back to his natural habitat.

Look guaranteed for top 4 to me.
Could have a crack at the title too if they don't suffer too much with injuries

No chance of a title but we have to push for fourth like every season, in true Spurs fashion you can't even guarantee that. We've drawn a lot of games we should have won, threw a 2 goal lead away against Stoke, conceded a late goal against Leicester after taking the lead, pisssed all over Everton and couldn't win, should have seen the game out against Newcastle and should have won against Arsenal. It's things like that that can easily ruin a season.

Still though, the old Spurs team would have crumbled against a lot of these teams, there isn't really that much cushion between 4th and the chasing pack. We have Everton away next and teams like Palace are only a few points off, even shitty West Ham with their dreadful football are only 6 points behind

I cannot believe how good Alderweireld has been though, from having the shitty likes of Kaboul and Fazio this is like a drream come true

A fortunate win yesterday, Watford played really well, again Lloris saves our bacon then we go up the other end and score. It really is a bizarre season, you can't even predict the top 6 right now. Everyone is creaming themselves over Everton and Liverpool right now but they sit 10th and 11th, Palace are plodding along nicely and only 4pts off Spurs and City. West Ham have been dreadful like they have been for years and still only 6 points behind

I'd like to see Spurs finish 3rd. With Chelsea all but surely dropping out of the top four I'd have no problem at all Spurs taking their place and hopefully Leicester hold on to keep the scum out
