I was no angel in the past but, i'm 59 now my lad who can bounce in modern times who I keep grounded as best as I can if I'm with him, has never seen me be a proper dickhead (but he can imagine what I was like) there are lines you don't cross unless a complete lowlife wanker.

That's it, most people who were about back in the day wouldn't stand by and watch some shit like this happen. Even if they were your own fans they'd soon be sorted out if they pulled a trick like that. I was at the swamp once as a young teenager trying to keep my head down walking down Warwick road after the game. A slightly older Blue was getting ragged by a huge mob of rags when three older blokes ran over and laid into them backing them off. To the mobs amazement they were rags too and they told the mob, "We don't take liberties City fan or not." They walked the lad to his bus and made sure he was okay. Most lads were like that back then, although some dick would always try and take liberties but they would be sorted if spotted.
