Tour De France 2013

Roche nearly catching Delgado when everyone thought he had been left for dust got me hooked to the tour as a 14yr old.

Still amazes me now 26yrs later.

It was before i was hooked, but i have watched this since (and again just now). Liggott suddenly spotting Roche "THAT LOOKS LIKE ROCHE, THAT LOOKS LIKE STEPHEN ROCHE, ITS STEPHEN ROCHE!!" is a tour classic moment.

Stephen used to be in the Eurosport studio before Nicolas started riding the tour, he was a decent analyst.

Love watching the cycling got even better when Miller/Yates were involved.

Probably the best ever finish that I've seen was the TT in Paris with Figon (sp) RIP and Lamond on the last day.

Result in the spoiler

BOOM - Super Cav lights it up, brilliant finish, totally in control of that from entering the final turn to activating the afterburners

The tour lights up, perfection on that run in from the winning team. Hope everyone is ok as that was a big pile up at the end.

Sagan's gonna be tough to beat in the green jersey comp this year- wossat? two seconds and a third?

AND he can climb a bit. Bastard.

Top win for Cav, Omega got it spot on. Big crash at the end though, wouldn't be surprised if thats put some cyclist out of the Tour.

Sagan might win the green, Cav will probably win more stages though, and he will break Eddie Merx's record for stage wins in the tour eventually.

That overhead he just rode away from them (dont know why i am surprised) you cant quite make it out from head on sometimes, but his jump was better and he just powered away, shocked to see Griepel struggling to keep up, thought it might be his day, with Cav having being ill

Don't think we need spoilers really folks, we're all bright enough to know that the thread should be avoided from midday onwards if we don't want to know what's happening/results.

Cav today was brilliant but not at his brilliant best and to win the stage after illness is just amazing. Cav to get a few more stage wins. The greatest sprinter of all time ever for me. There will never be another Cav. I watch him and as soon as he gets with 1 km to go its like a switch is turned on and he getts into the position needed to get the wins amazing.
