Tour De France 2013

Another quality day. Very enjoyable and of course great to see Cav win even if he did beat my favorite rider EBH. Once his lead out man dropped out it was never in doubt was it.

Ive got a 50th fancy dress BBQ/piss up on saturday starting at 3pm. I have already informed the host i wont be there until after i have watched the TdF :)

I would love one of those all in one polka dot skin suits with polka dot shoes and helmet but my shape aint really made for lycra ;)

Its an Hawaiian theme, so should be funny.

Don't think we need spoilers really folks, we're all bright enough to know that the thread should be avoided from midday onwards if we don't want to know what's happening/results.

Ok mate, just didnt want to spoil things for anyone.

I know mate, it's appreciated. You know what it's like though it's good when the mountains come along to be able to discuss the action as it's all kicking off - and knowing me I'd forget the spoiler bit!

Anyway perfectly executed lead out from OPQS today, it never looked in any doubt that they had it under control and then Cav smoked them well and truly. Impressive from EBH to get the better of Griepel (who was soon going backwards quickly) and Sagan.

Never mind that dress as the devil that does be on the moutain stages instead lol.

Had to go to work in the car today and listening to Talk Sport on the way home and they blurt out Cavendish won. Bollocks! Totally ruined my 7-8 ITV4 fix.

I noticed Andy Schleck is a bit off the pace. Was this purely as a result of the TTT stage or have I missed something? Is Frank Schleck in this year's race?

And any info on the best name in pro sport, Vladimir Karpets? Is he still going?

Radioshack were well down on the TTT so thats why, but he has been showing upfront. The commentators reckon he has little chance though.

And serves you right for listening to talkshite ;))

Feel sorry for Jurgen Van Den Broeck seems to be one of the unlucky ones, crashes in 2011, 2012 seemed to have the engine but had a flat tyre on one of the first stages costing him over a minute then when the mountains came he had the engine just his teammates were dogged by injuries to support him.

Again hes out of the tour de france

Yeah very sad.

So many crashes though. Rodriguez crashed today too but i assume he is OK as he finished in the peleton.

Great work from Cav to get back on today and i think Gerrans in yellow allowed him to as he calmed the peleton. I thought it was a really interesting stage today and i was made up with EBH getting to 2nd on GC :)

Saturday beckons and its going to be good i reckon, very good
