When Kennaugh and Porte were taken into the bottom of the climb i had little doubt Froome would put time into his rivals, i did say i didnt think they would struggle today but maybe next week when they have to go back to back, but i didnt expect him to destroy them again. He's some specimen.

I thought todays stage suited Sky so much it wasnt true. Last yeat in the Criterium du auphine they hit the Joux Plane with a full team at the front and massacred the pelotan and its what they do better than anyother team. The riders stick to the plan and peel off when done. Kennaugh today hammered it and when he peeled off he looked like he was going to fall of his bike. I dont think other teams do or give that much and trust that there leaders will deliver.

This is from a newbie to the sport and im sure some of you guys will set me wrong but its how i saw it

Eurocar set the pace early on (i was watching the cricket too busy shitting myself) but then Movistar took over and this meant Sky were fresh going into Ventoux. It wasnt in doubt really. They way Froome rode away from Contador though was so impressive, and then to get away from Quintana was again very impressive. Just think how dominant they would be if they had Wiggo, Uran and Henao in the team.

And got me thinking to the stage in the Tour last year when he distanced Wiggo and was called back. He could have devastated the field that day surely as he looked so strong that day.

Imagine the devastation a Skytrain of Wiggo, Porte, Uran, Henao, kennaugh, Froome could do. Scary

-- Sun Jul 14, 2013 4:21 pm --

Great minds think alike, but so do deranged despots, i prefer to think of us in the former category. If Sky did come with those 3 on top of what they have, the backlash from the French and Italian media would have been felt all the way here in Britain, they dont like it now, imagine if he was 10 mins ahead!!

I think next year we may have a bm drunks section in Harrogate :)

Does anyone think Kennaugh is a potential GT winner?

Well done to Froome today. Top class from him. So deserves the Yellow Jersey. Think Contador and the break on Friday took a lot out of him which is sad to say. I dont know who is going to contest a Tour with the force of Sky with Wiggins and Froome next year they could well be fighting between themselfs for the yellow.

Fantastic effort today by the Sky lads and Froome. If Froome wins the tour it will be a bigger achievement than Wiggo's in many ways. The Sky team was stronger last year with Wiggo, Cav, Froome, etc, etc,
This year the team is strong but not as strong plus there have been withdrawals by Edvald and Vasil, Garaint injured too.
Wiggo won one stage, Froome has won two already.
