Unfortunately I feel he'll be overlooked for SPOTY behind Murray.

Paul Lake's Left Knee said:And Froome had Richie Porte doing the same for him this year. Wiggos team wasnt 3 times stronger at all, the course was easier, more TT in it and suited to Wiggo but last year was a step into the unknown, Wiggo was the first and therefore will always be special. This year, they have all the experience from the previous years win and less focus and pressure on Froome, it is a team sport, on and off the road.
Agree to an extent, only thing I will say is that Froome was outright winner this year and I think he would have won it last year if Wiggo wasn't team leader.
Hmmm, Wiggo did win the TTs by quite a lot. I know Froome stayed with him on a couple of climbs but if he was in another team, i still think Wiggo would have won, that course was suited to him not Froome, Froome had never won anything before but it would have been close though. This years course Froome beats Wiggo everytime and on the margin of victory is more dominant than Wiggo was.
As for the achievement, i'd say to go from riding 4km pursuit gold to winning the tour, is like going from 1500m to the marathon (and quite a bit more distance)

I guess we'll never know, i'm just glad 'us' british have won it back to back. I hope one of them is up for it again next year!
And I wouldn't put the bottom bit past Mo Farah.

Gonna be a great finale (even if they wheel out Jean Michel Jarre later on, as rumoured)
Be interesting to see how wiggo fares in the Tour of Poland next week.

As Martin Samuel observed recently, nobody question the dramatic later-career upturn in form of the likes of Mo Farah or Kelly Holmes - which is often seen, with very good reason, as the cue to be suspicious

Whats up with Dave Harmon? Harmon Kelly was my dream team, Dave called the action, Kirby did the tweets/texts, filling in and describing of the landscape etc I dont mind Carlton, he's a little excitable and French (thus loving Voeckler) for me ;-)

Thanks to a link you posted i have.
It makes the Cellar look full of sane rational people :)
The conspiracy theories on there are brilliant. Loved reading the Froome thread through the Tour. If he won he doped, if he got dropped he was hiding his doping, if team Sky rode well it was because they doped, when Porte had the bad in the wind it was hiding the dope.
Basically its like they are all on dope (weed type). And i feel a little sorry for them that a sport they obviously care deeply about has become so tainted to them they are deeply hurt and can no longer enjoy or get excited about.
Come on Cav, hope the flat didnt take too much out of him
