Toure question ....

Richards needs to stay - all Micah needs is some time out of the firing line and recovery time for his young body. I really suspect he is carrying a number of slight injuries that need to be rested.

Dunne is to slow, Micah is not good enough, simple really. Oh and up to now we have a LB issue, not good enough.

There is a LB problem? im sure they just signed Wayne Bridge on a 10.5 million 4 year contract or have I just been daydreaming? If there was a potential problem there isnt anymore the only player I would consider signing other than Wayne Bridge is Phillip Lahm and we have no chance getting the German international.

Possible centre backs. Per Mertesacker, Vedran Corluka, or Daniel Agger.

First of all, Corluka is not a Centre Back, he's a right back, and he used to be in Man City last season. Daniel Agger wants a move (on some news sources) but Liverpool don't want to sell him. Per Mertesacker would be the best idea for the new Centre Back but Kolo Toure will move to Man City by the end of the weekend (on some news sources). So maybe we can replace both of the centre backs, Micah Richards and Richard Dunne. And who will be the next captain? Robinho?

Vedran Corluka's natural position is CB.

Natt what are you on about seriously? Right Vedran Corluka plays at Right back for Croatia he also played Right back at Manchester City but he was far better in centre back and if you have actually played Football Manager 08 and 09 is natural position is centre back I guess the whole game is lying aswell then.

Do you really think our back line is dominant enough? Added to that have they got the bottle required to see us challenging for top 6 ? If your answers are "yes" and "yes" I know a very reputable shrink!

am i the only one who watches through his hands when micah gets hold of the ball, im thinking any minute now hes going to mis-control it and fuck it up for us. he doesnt instill confidence at all. id go for toure all day long.

A lot of the problems showing with Dunne and Richards is the piss poor left back alongside them getting skinned / out of position / poor distribution, this creates pressure on the CH's as they need to cover and subsequently are out of position.
I know both Dunne and Richards are playing poor at the moment, and not all our defensive problems can be attributed to the defensive duties of the LB, but it must have an effect on the CH's ability to do their own jobs in defense.
