Toure's agent speaks out (again)

If that pile of shit he says is true, does anybody seriously think that he'd have been castigated for not attending the title celebrations?

It's laudable to see sustainable, eco-friendly activity promoted on here.

Cakegate was nothing. That same summer he blamed City for not allowing him to see his brother before he died. It was an outrageous lie proven by the fact that he stayed in Qatar on holiday for two weeks letting Qatar tap him up for PSG before the world cup when he could have been sitting by his brother's side.

He used his brother's death to try to get a transfer. That is ALL you need to know about the man. I would happily give the trophies back if it meant we could expunge him from our history.

You mean when he was in Doha at a clinic with other members of the Ivory Coast squad in a bid to get fit for the World Cup?

I don't like that he dragged the club's name through the mud in regards his brother's death but stop making stuff up.

He didn't help his case being a pundit on the tv and laughing and joking on there,if he wanted to be at home with his brother instead of doing that then he could have been
My main gripe is 2 days after the title win him and his agent started with the bullshit when we all should have been celebrating,i felt that was out of order to be whinging that week.He is a disrepectful twat but it will still be a sad day when he leaves but we move on

I agree that he's a prat but tbh don't really care much for what's said, it's all a bit soap opera. I know it's cliche but ultimately what matters is what happens on the pitch.

It seems pretty likely that Toure will leave this summer, and as others have said he'll rightly be remembered as a City legend. I can't really recall a similar player to Toure in his pomp. That combination of pace, power, skill and goal scoring threat made him a pretty unique midfielder, and one who will be difficult to replace. I suspect we'll only truly realise what he offered once he has gone.

Would be great if Guardiola was able to find a role for him, but his agent's recent comments suggest that a parting of the ways seems more likely.

I doubt that there is any other City player who divides opinion amongst supporters quite like Yaya. Posts on this and most City forums reveal that.

A great player who has helped the club achieve so much, and yet a divisive individual with a massive ego ( nurtured and encouraged by his bloody agent ) who shows disrespect to the club, manager, team and fans, with his ( reported ) constant whingeing and antics played out, seemingly with the arrival of every transfer window.

Statements regarding his affection and desire to play for X, or Y or whoever, has been almost tantamount to prostituting himself to any potential bidder .

IMO he should no longer command a regular place in the team due to problems his defensive frailties cause, and an over reliance in his ability to control each and every game by Pelligrini only seems to add to problems for the team.

I expect him to move in the summer to the new love of his career, followed by a massive slagging off of City and the " disrespect " he has been shown.

He's done some truly wonderful things on the pitch for us but the embarrassing crap he (and that knobcheese of an agent) puts out has been outweighing his performances for a while now. I'll be sad to see him go but it's time to say goodbye.

Talk of him being a city legend despite him and his agent constantly slating the club? Not for me. One of our best ever players? Undoubtably. THE best? Maybe. But not a legend, a legend in my eyes loves and respects the club

What he said 100%!

That goes both ways. If I was toure reading the absolute sh*te spouted about him after what he has done for the club I too would be looking to get out and go somewhere I would be appreciated.

He is not reading this and he is very well supported at the games all of the time so don't blame us for him and his agents utter crap

you sound like a needy kid, the chicken came before the egg here pal. Yaya started to catch the flak because of his agent. If he didn't act the prick there wouldn't be a problem.

I've worked with people who need constant praise and appreciation for basically doing their jobs, it's tiresome.

That's not quite true though Karen, I've heard fans openly take the p*ss at the match. It's a minority admittedly, but it happens.

Yeah, bless him, the poor, hard done to mite. He needs more cuddles in his life not slagged off on an Internet forum.

I'm the needy kid!!? I'm not the one hearing a grudge and throwing my toys out of the pram because an agent is trying to negotiate a better contract for his client, much like Rooney did with the rags.

Again, you sound like a needy kid. They are calling me names, I'm taking my ball and going home.

Criticism goes with the territory when you are a professional footballer. The fans pay to see it, they can be as critical as they like.

These guys are usually ruthless, but Yaya's constant claims that he doesn't get the recognition he deservers, bollocks,

true greats never cared about recognition, they cared about winning football matches. Did Vieira ever claim he was hard done by, did he bollocks.

true greats are professional on and off the pitch and play to the best of their ability for 90 minutes.
