Toure's agent speaks out (again)

I don't have an issue with Toure and his toad positioning himself in the market, in light of his contract entering its final year soon and Pep taking over.

Playing devils advocate, wasn't that long ago this site was purple with rage at the sight of Toure and Pep seemingly laughing their tits off together after our first defeat at the Camp Nou?

There certainly didn't seem any animosity between the pair, if someone has the footage?

On a side note, Toure and Seluk did exactly the same two years running at Barca, accusing them of a lack of respect and paying him peanuts.

Hughes had tried to sign Toure the year prior to Mancini.

I have had little time for his ego or some of the lies he has aimed at our club.

We should have cashed in 18 months ago but I would have no problem keeping him if he can bring himself to be an impact bit-part player under Pep.

His cash value is now negligible, due to his massive wages.

There would be some nice symmetry him seeing out his final year, especially so, under a manager who inspires players and is tactically astute enough to recognise their faults and deploy them accordingly.

He got a tune out of Alonso, and Yaya is every bit the passer he has been.

The one big problem here is that even if he left on a 'free', any new club would have to pay up his existing contract first, and very very few clubs could afford that. Another little obstacle would be his agent who would be looking for a fat signing on fee for himself as much as for Yaya. That is the problem with being a wealthy club and with a player on a fat salary and not particularly wanting to stay but is prepared to do so because there is nothing better elsewhere.
 
The case of Yayas agent trying to get himself 1 last big pay day off Yaya. I honestly think he will go this summer. I think he might end up at PSG and we will get a fee for him. I think IF Pep comes in I think he will want to bring in his replacement. Maybe trying to get Pogba could be done for this summer which would be Yayas replacement.

That's £11m big ones. He can probably lay his hands on the money but there is not a club out there who would consider his present value being commensurate with that, let alone, reimbursing him and then meeting his new wage demands, signing-on fee, or paying the agent commission.

We either have to cut him loose for free, a knockdown fee couple of mill, or he will be going nowhere unless we pay up a large percentage of his final year, with the other club agreeing to pay the difference.

Knowing how his camp operate, he's not about to do City any favours.

We just have to determine if it's actually worth making the saving between what he walks away with in severance and what he stood to earn by sticking around.

And that's where any public agitation by Seluk could force our hand.

A gilded cage, just like Rooney.

Inter milan will pay between 5-10m for him as he'd been seen as global signing for them a genuine world class player! I wouldn't mind us throwing them an extra 20m and asking for kondogbia!
 
Only saying that so when Pep comes in during the summer and fucks Yaya off both him and his agent can put it down to the fact they wanted a transfer away and not the fact that
a) Yaya is not the player he was 3 years ago.
b) He's got about 2 years of football left in him.
c) He's not as great as he makes out to be.

Yaya want's to be remembered as one of the greatest players ever so he knows admitting he's on a decline would be the thing most will remember him by (much like how Vidic ended up at United), Us blues will remember that one awesome season he had where he tore it up but other fans around the world will remember the 2 shit seasons he had after it.
As for his agent the more his client is in the papers the more ££££££££££ he gets, he probably couldn't give a fuck about Yaya's career and the fact Yaya considers him to be a friend is sad because once his career is over I doubt Dimitri Seluk will give a fuck about him.

Believe me in italy yaya could still be a star for 3 to 4 years easily!
 
His latter-day market value peaked after his 20-goal season. A number of us on here would have sold him then, when he started agitating, and in the expectation that in his twilight years he'd never come near to repeating that freak season.

Any transfer fee now would be small beer, due partly to his massive wages. It's really down to whether he'd adjust to a reduced, albeit still important, role or whether he's more likely to pollute the atmosphere.

The club doesn't owe him. He's delivered vital things at vital times but, in the process, been paid a king's ransom and made it plain he's only staying while it suits.

At his age, given he would only have a year left, we'd only get a couple of million anyway. I think there'd be more value to be had from keeping him personally. Suppose it all depends on who's available as a replacement.

This is a endless recursion. Inter wants Yaya to replace Kondogbia who is NOT uprooting trees in Seria A. I would have taken Kondogbia last summer but after his performances this season, it would be mad to get him here.
