Tourists

My Manc born brother has lived in Norwich for 20+ years and has brought his son and daughter up to be blues. He can't get up here very often so, despite him having a season ticket in the 70/80s, by the logic of some people on here when he does get to a game it makes him a tourist!

Oh, and by the way, I always take photos at both home and away games!

You travel to manchester to a home game [check]
You take your camera to the match [check]
You freely admit it [check]

I'm sorry but that makes you a fucking tourist! Stay away from my club, you are not welcome. The likes of you will never be accepted, but deemed as a jonny-come-lately for eternity. I'm sure old trafford being in the same borough will suit you and your camera perfectly, hand-in-glove in fact.

;0)

Thought it might be you who would reply;-) Got some cracking photos in Porto despite all the alcohol lol.

You can't take Manchester out of a Manc no matter where they live now ...

People can be as magnanimous as they want at the moment, but I bet if they see it affecting them, as prices increase, then they will be the bleating and whining to to the heavens.
Not saying this will definitely happen (astronomic price rises that is) but human nature is such that they will be less generous to those who have jumped on the bandwagon.
I'm not talking about those who have supported us for years from afar, I'm talking about those who will see it as a day out. I'm talking about the likes of the YouTube lot in the rag end at OT last Derby Day.

Im worried, i am sitting watching the Sporting Legia game on itv4 with the easyjet and air lingus sites open on my pooter to book flights to Lisboa if they get through, but after reading this thread, i dont think I should as I would be ostracised by fellow blues :-)

Out in force in 122 with there cameras and moonchester love ins
There were a family of 12 Japanese sat directly in front of me in 218 which was a shock as South Stand is normally very tight with Seasoncard Holders even for Cup games.
Before anyone questions whether they were Japanese, the 3 year old little girl was playing virtual Tomb Raider on her Holographic iPhone 6 for the full 90 minutes.

LMFAO!

quite a long thread this!

where I live in the world, currently, I'd say only the top six are broadcast on the tube. and only the Premier League and FA Cup. no Carling Cup, no La Liga or Serie A, and Bundesliga (95% Bayern) is extra on digital. and City have only been broadcast frequently almost every Barclays matchday starting this season. some matches are blacked out also, such as Everton and Newcastle, for another shit meaningless sport, so it can be quite difficult for one to support a mediocre club even if he/she had the heart to. football viewers in my part of the world are at most casual.

and only the most affluent of those watching, bandwagoners or not, will be able to afford to visit the UK.

so if i was Mancunian and a seasoncard holder i shan't be worrying about ur seats being all taken up. as it will take a while even for me to amass some fortune and jet over to Manchester to be at the Etihad

ps saw a Sierra Leone supporters' flag hanging from the upper tier. must be some brave souls if not filthy rich taking scrutiny from some :)

All welcome as far as i am concerned. it would have been half empty with only regular season ticket holders. lets get an extra tier built and welcome all.

might explain the Sierra Leone flag mate, and well worth taking the time to read and watch.

I think this might be to do with a few members of the Official Supporters Club who went over to Sierra Leone and helped build infrastructure for kids playing football/studying there.
Armani? is his name, a guy from SL who came over here to watch a few matches, I think he runs the OSC in Sierra Leone
