Toys from your childhood

My mum got me a train set when I was 9
It was second hand and it was a duff.
I had lost my father earlier that year and my mates dad came across on Christmas Day to try and fix it for me without success.
In my latter years I have now built up a huge collection and have about 40 boxes in the garage and the rest is on a layout over the garage.
I have no idea of its value but the urge to collect, I am sure it’s all down to that disappointment as a kid.
I rarely play with it now and will need to think about selling it when I eventually down size.

My earliest toy memory was the Fisher Price Weeble Garage with the wind up lift and ramp. What a brilliant toy in the 70’s. Also got the Caravan at some point.

My rich auntie come over from New York she took us to kendals,kendals wowww you only went in kendals if you wanted the toilet because you couldn’t buy anything from in there she bought me this because I loved this fella

As a child I always wanted a Scalextric (or TCR) but it wasn't a goer. I waited till the day my firstborn had developed sufficient fine motor skills to press shit and went out and bought shitloads of the stuff :-)
