He seems to have "dumbed down" a lot in his choice of roles. Thought I read somewhere a good while back that he wanted to keep himself busy, as it was his way of dealing with the death of his wife, the actress Natasha Richardson. So I guess you can't be too critical of his career since then.

Have to try to unearth that, it looks promising in a "Sisu" type of way. Even though I'm not a big fan of films with subtitles. I like to keep my concentration for what's happening on the screen, not having to read subtitles on screen.

Probably because Snyder has never made a decent fipm in his life.Apparently Snyder took this to Lucasfilm as a Star Wars concept early on but exec Kathleen Kennedy turned it down.

clone wars/rebels/bad vatch - Great
All have also brought in the themes and many charactors from SW and those disney decanonised, Doubt George is considering these bastardisations of his vision.
The only shite aspect of Disney Star Wars has been the new trilogy by JJ Abrams, and As said the man alongside Bay and Snyder are charlatans and terrbile film makers

Clone wars rebels was made under Lucas and was some of the best SW stuff down to Filoni, all the others have been ok because one or two episodes rescued them, Mandalorian season 1 was great the rest have been average, Boba was dog shit they really ruined a character there. Obi Wan bang average with an annoying child, the fan edit into a two hour film is superb though. Andor was good like Rogue One, Ashoka is ok but again they brought back a character from the past to help out in the last episodes. The appearance of Thrawn is probably going to be the highlight, just a pity Disney made all the EU non canon, the Thrawn trilogy was the best SW I ever read, along with the New Jedi Order series, now that is something if they adapted for TV would’ve been brilliant.The Mandalorian - great

You can't level "Watchmen" as poor when he basically followed the comic story with only a few changes to the aesthetic. It's, like, 85% accurate and nobody puts a comic book on screen to its minute detail as comics don't translate well on screen!

also for decent and also near accurate adaptations I could list Sin City, Scott Pilgrim, Snowpiercer, From Hell, Kick Ass and My Firend Dharmer a long way ahead of watchmen.
Even a history of violence, which they drastically changed in parts still is a better adaptation of a grapic novel compared to that hack snyder.
you only have to read his coments trying to belittle SW which show his complete lack of knowledge of the lore and world he so desperately wanted to make a film in.
