Smart Metering is an aspect of the Internet of Things, the meter can be read remotely by using the internet to connect to it. I'm guessing here, but I suspect that a Smart Metering Technician is a guy that goes around all day installing the things. I would also think that to do that job the technician is going to have to become suitably qualified and pass all the relevant safety certification for working on gas systems so there is potential of moving up the ladder eventually.

Is it gas or elect ? Think they do both.

Don't forget everything in their eyes is safety and brand protection. You must emphasise this to them. You ll obviously have to be smart and good with people, respectfull etc. Team player.

Think of examples to prove the above points when asked.

Good career prospects with B Gas. Sit up straight in the chair and give eye contact to all interviewees. If you are asked for any questions at the end, you could ask about career prospects , Don t shrug your shoulders and say no sorted.

Sensible advice from salfordpaul here, take it on board mate. I've interviewed a lot of people, and a candidate that doesn't have much to say will not get the job. Remember, it's an opportunity to sell yourself, the interviewer doesn't want to prise information out of you, so set the agenda by controlling the conversation. Ask about prospects, further training etc. You have already overcome the first hurdle by getting an interview, go and grab it!
