Transfer Disapointment

Minor additions to the squad. Nothing more.

Shifting some bloody 'deadwood' is more of a worry. Just shows how poor Leslie really was. Most of his decent signings have improved 'tenfold' under Mancini and we can't get rid of any of his shit ones.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't get a decent defender(cover)... I just don't wanna see Savic play anytime soon

I think Savic may become Vinnies long term partner in a couple of years(when Lescott gets a bit older and we need to save his leg's), he was thrown in at the deep end and made a couple of mistakes but at the time the whole team were under performing, if he'd had to play either side of our bad patch he'd of been ok!

We need some pace in the final third and we are desperate for a centre back. That's it.

This.

Even if it's just Hoilett for small fee and an old backup CB like Chivu, we need this. Anything less and we're giving our opponents comfort for no reason. If we're serious about Europe, a deep-lying playmaker is also necessary.

I said this last season and was laughed at. Savic should have been played at full back first

They're got to make signings, bob will insist. At least some youngsters, and as you say there are.numerous registrations that need to be sold. I can see the next spend figure being very low though, and what if it is... We need at least as many zabba / clichy honest pros as we do argentinian super stars. Strength in depth, and shrewd investments, are the way now.

But Zaba is an Argentinean superstar!

-- 19 Jun 2012, 08:20 --

I think pirlo would be a great signing tbh. If only because I want to see a decent city corner kick, its been years.

I think David Silva and Edin Džeko might disagree with that.

Didn't you see the stat that we scored more goals from corners than any other team in the Prem last season?

Mancini would be disappointed & probably Sheikh Mansour too, as they have both talked of players coming in, so if we don't sign anyone it means we have missed our targets.

Therefore our squad will not be as strong as our manager & owner hoped it would & that would be disappointing, but if the players are not available, that's life.

It is however, very very early, so I recon we'll have several players in by the time the window shuts at the end of August. It is now June.
