I'm glad Vinny has shown his stuff and everyone realizes how good of a centre back he is. He is my absolute favorite player on the team and I have been begging that he be sent back to defence the last two years. It should be him and Lescott at the back every game they are available.

Mate you are joking - Messi and Iniesta are untouchable - for no amount of money would he leave Barca and unless he wanted to leave under NO circumstances would they allow him leave .

Was at the Barca / Sevilla game in Jan and whilst Messi and Iniesta were great Xavi was better but again would think we would have buckleys of getting him either. WE ARE NOT in Barcas league and will not be until we either win a) Premier league B) Champs league

no, you're definitely not the only fan. I love Villa but he is getting on now, and I couldn't see him and tevez as a workable front two in the premiership, they're just too short...

but as for Silva, in complete contradiction of my previous post, if it was up to me I'd make him my number one target. he is 100% exactly the player we need IMO. a technically superb winger, has absolutely every attribute, pace, quick feet, good balance, plays on either side, crosses superbly, passes like a playmaker, superb at possession football. He and Johnson are quite similair in some ways, but Silva's distribution is miles ahead, not surprising, he is just about the finished article, johnson is still learning. together, with players like adebayor and tevez, they could play some really beautiful football. and he always links superbly with other midfielders. yes, I like him an awful lot.
