Nobody knows for sure. It is possible that their deputies would do a much better job than ours have done. Their full backs are better than ours and their midfield tighter so they may not have noticed it as much. I don’t think VD has been as good this season anyway.

It’s not just the defence though, it’s defending as a team. It’s turned to shit and we are wide open as a result. Add that to Jesus and Aguero missing 8/10 of the chances they get, Jesus in particular recently. When we click we are still good but it’s not happening often enough.

Sorry , if your are saying Lovren , Matip or Gomez are any better than Stones , Otto and Dinho , whichever pairing , then i have to disagree ,barring Dinho they are all quite average , but the fact the Dippers start every game with three defensive water carrying midfielders then yes , they definitely protect their defence far better than we do.
We are top scorers in the country but you have a valid point about missing chances , our chance conversion stats also have to be one of the worst in the country, we beat Watford 8-0 , fantastic , but like Klippety commented you still only get three points.
