Travelling to Madrid

Unless City drop the points criteria quickly, I'd be surprised if they'd have sold out by Villa. They'd need to get the information announced this week, then on sale to be finished by next Friday
Villa match is two weeks tomorrow , which is less than a week before the Madrid tie which sounds way too tight for me especially if we still have to find flights and accommodation once a ticket is secured!

With the collection at Etihad craic, is this solely collection on home match days or can they be collected on non-match days too? What happened last year? I don’t live too far from the ground and can call in on home from work on a non-match day, rather that than piss about on the Arsenal or Villa game!

Yeah you could collect on non match day this was the email about collection last year

As soon as the draw is revealed prices go mad. I'm sure these airline companies are watching the draw themselves.

Without question.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they pay UEFA to get advanced notice before it’s officially released of the actual dates once the draw is done.

That's a definite. A flight to Madrid can be bought for £40. I've not looked on Skyscanner to see what the price is now.
According to Expedia:

No direct flights to Madrid from Manchester on the day of the game (Ryanair not on Expedia, see below).

To fly direct without going for more than 2 nights, the best you can do is 18:20 Iberia on the Monday, then 16:10 back with Iberia on the Wednesday…for the princely sum of £552!

For Ryanair, there’s only 1 direct flight on the day of the game but doesn’t get to Madrid til after kick off, sooo
Flying out Monday direct, coming back Wednesday direct…£734!

To do the same trip on the Thursday/Friday is £80 return. Scandalous

Have a look on Skyscanner mate, lots more cheaper options than those. For example going Monday, back Wednesday, cheapest is £155, not direct and some hanging about in airports, but it can be done.
