Trent Alexander-Arnold

Can’t believe some of these takes. Fair to say he’s not likeable and never was because of being a prick and playing for them. But in terms of quality he is a world class player. Pep would absolutely love to work with him. His passing quality supersedes anything we have in the team as of now. Cannot pass up on this opportunity, would be incredible and some piss boiling when they roll the ‘means more’ tapes

Also, when did competition become a bad thing? Nunes arguably up there as our player of the season. But we used to have crazy competition in the team. Walker and Cancelo at a point, this wouldn’t be any different. Nunes will carry on starting, but if he were to rotate or if Trent was to play in the middle, that’s not the worst option. Quality in depth wins silverware every time. Look at what we were fielding in the treble season.

Exactly!

We need two players for every role, just don’t think anybody is sure he is the right man to compete with Nunes

Fuck this guy.
The **** has been disparaging about city fans previously.
He’s a prick and he can’t defend.
There’s no way the club should be looking at him.
When was this? If anything, it's the opposite:

Alexander-Arnold addressed this perception directly. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “A lot of people talk about Man City’s atmosphere and, hand on heart, when we play them the atmosphere is incredible. Like we feel it – it is intense. The atmosphere is always really good there.”

When asked to pick his favourite ‘away day,’ Alexander-Arnold had a surprising answer. Many might expect Old Trafford, home to Liverpool’s historic rivals Manchester United, but Trent opted for the Etihad. “I think the difference between these two (The Etihad and Old Trafford) is that I’ve scored at this stadium. I know it was 1-1 but it was an iconic celebration. Whenever we play each other it feels like the whole world is watching. It is almost like the English version of the El Clasico.”

He’s been the opposite. I always thought from this interview he wanted to sign for us.

You’re right can’t defend though! Plus Nunes has been brilliant for the last year at right back.

True, but I think that's something Pep can work on. He's managed it with Nunes so no reason why he can't do it with Alexander-Arnold. Nunes coming good might be the reason why we don't go for him though unless Pep has something in mind for him to play elsewhere, plus he might have reservations about coming here as it'll no doubt lead to a fuck load of death threats from the rabid cunts down the other end of the East Lancs.

Nunes is at least a physical player to begin with, strong and fast with an engine. Trent has none of those qualities and he still can’t defend.

He's got WC delivery from dead balls and cross field passes. That's it though, he's not anywhere near a WC player in other areas. Nunes is twice the player.
Don't see this exciting anyone bar the resident transfer muppets who get giddy about any potentially new shiny toy.
As for pissing Liverpool fans off, it'd piss me off more.
