Trent Alexander-Arnold

Some people mistake verbosity for insight.

If he's such a shit player who doesn't suit us at all...we won't buy him.

So if we do go for him, it's because Pep & co. think he is good enough, fits the team or have a vision for the team with him in it. Which has been good enough for me for the past 10 years.
Er... Phillips, Mendy, Grealish, Bravo, Torres and probably joining them Savinho and Ait Nouri and Reiijnders. I take no pleasure in listing them but we do sign some shit and are not infallible when we make signings and TAA would be one more

Anyone who lists Ferran Torres as a transfer failure doesn't have a clue what they're talking about to be honest. bought for €20m sold for €65m after scoring a goal every other game. We tripled our money because Barcelona were desperate and now he's one of their best players and top goalscorer so quality was always there.

How exactly was that a bad transfer?

Phillips stands out as the worst transfer of the Pep era. Mendy went wrong off the pitch so can't blame Pep but he's 2nd.

Don't agree with your assessment of any of the others. The hit rate under Pep is over 90% and anyone upset with that is delusional.

I'm such a contrarian bastard that after starting out not interested in this I'd actually like it to happen now just to see how quickly people do a 180.
I'd rather not sign him but if we did and he fits in and becomes a success then I'll be happy because it's beneficial to the team. As a fan I'm not overly arsed where a player comes from.
Unless it's a loan it would be a fairly big outlay for a player I don't rate nearly as much as you do.

The reason people call him Trent is because nobody can be bothered to repeat a 6 syllable surname 100 times a match. The reason people hate it is because it makes commentators sound pally with him - they're actually just lazy.

HEY Arnold

two cartoon characters are giving each other a thumbs up on a sidewalk .

I think he be great for us creatively, I just think his wages are to high! Unless Madrid didn’t put him on 250/300k a week

If his wages are high, it’d mean any potential transfer fee would be low.

I can’t really see it happening as we’d need to buy a defensive left back as well.
