Why isn't Nunes good enough? What is he lacking to be deemed good enough? When has he shown he cannot hack it against the better opposition. At the emirates, at the bernabeu? You've just claimed he isnt good enough without offering any reason for those claims when the last 12 months of evidence would suggest he is more than good enough and has been one of our standout players.

Fine as a squad option. But as a starting 11 full back for a side who wants to get back to competing for the champions league and being the best in this league - Not good enough going forward to make up for the lack of positional awareness, lack of ability 1 on 1 and inability to move into the midfield to create overloads - don’t take my word for that to quote pep he is not intelligent enough to play in the middle.

One of our standout players in the last 12 months doesn’t take much we’ve been poor by our own standards. And he probably hasn’t even been one of our better few players he’s just the most improved as he’s gone from being dog shite in midfield to being an acceptable squad player as a right back option.

He works hard. I like that he’s fought his way into contention. That doesn’t mean he’s good enough to start for a side with our aspirations. The club know it and will buy a starting right back this summer.

There is nothing emphatic about it. Too many see a guy with a good delivery but you cant judge a player without looking at the negatives as well, for a team prone to getting hit on the counter and having a midfield that can be wide open maybe having a player like him is nowhere near a priority.

Seems to be doing absolutely fine defensively this season, ranking highly in possession won & duels %. If anything, it would be great to see him attack more. Think Pep has also put him in midfield to end a few a games this season as well. Maybe Pep ranks him more highly than you do.

Its like you haven't actually watched him play over the last 12 months with these astonishingly bad views.

Not good enough going forward? You know hes one of our most productive players and indeed one of the most productive fullbacks in the league right? Joint second behind Reece James who has had the advantage of playing in midfield fairly regularly and that is despite the fact a lot of the time he doesnt have the license to go forward and plays the walker role as his pace is essential to stop breaks. Lack of ability 1v1? Remind me who has given him a torrid time 1v1 this season...

Yes pep said a while ago he wasnt quick enough mentally to play in midfield, that doesnt mean he isn't quick enough mentally to play fullback.

You say the club know he isn't good enough and will buy a replacement in the summer, did they not know it last summer when the vast majority presumed fullback a priority yet City declined the opportunity to buy a RB, and again so far this window. Im not saying we wont be looking at a fullback next summer, but it won't be one to replace Nunes, it will be somebody to be his backup.
