Tribute bands

Totally agree about Whos's Who, Drummer is the spits of Keith Moon

Last time i saw them they changed there lead singer-Young lad who looked like daltry in the tommy era

Later was in a band called mohair who got loads of play on radio 2

A thread that was left languishing in the Moons archives, sadly resigned unto a life of perpetual hibernation. Seen quite a few offerings live, but the one that always springs to mind was a U2 tribute band in Rome a few year back. After a few scoops of Peroni they really did sound as good as the real deal.

This tracks by a band called Rehab Sprout during lockdown. A lot of pain and angst in the world Right Now. but ..
Let There Be Music, because without it were truly gloomed.

Here's another quarantine offering from the Watch: Super attempt of one of my favourite Lamb tracks

Fountain Of Salmasis taken from the album Nursery Crimes.

Was in Seattle about 30 years ago.
A pub near where we were working was doing a charity night. A few of us went to it and there was a band playing Dr Hook music. They were superb.
One of the lads with us met one of the band while at the bar.
He told the band member they were as good as the real Dr Hook.
The band member replies " I'd hope so, we are Dr Hook"
