We were half pissedWe’re all disappointed but none of your comments are backed up by any evidence.
We weren’t half pissed as you put it. We bossed the game particularly in the 2nd half and the longer it went on the stronger we became, so clearly physical conditioning was nothing to do with our defeat.
We have a state of the art sports science department staffed by highly skilled leaders in their field. They will have been consulted as to the nature of any title celebrations and subsequent recovery therefrom and presumably they gave the go ahead.
It’s a lazy, idiotic, cheap shot to just dismiss as unprofessional drunkards our highly focused highly motivated team of champions who’ve proved over and over again that they are prepared to make the sacrifices necessary to be the best
Been to more than my share of City games, was behind the scenes there for over a decade, been to my share of parades.
I’m not sure what there is to “get” that I haven’t “got.”
Lol 30000. You are Peter Swales.Everyone who went enjoyed it but looking at the aerial shots on City TV no more than 30,000 present. They delayed the bus launch from 7.30 to 8.15 to allow enough people to build up so the shots looked half decent . 5 or 6 times fewer people than last year. Club need to make it a parade not a half mile procession. It wasn’t even the full length of Deansgate it was two thirds of it. And people were still following the bus round at various points.
Silly talk. The defeat knocked 50,000 off and the weather a similar amount. Massive turnout the year before but not busy on all parts of the route. Parts of Deansgate only busy on one side. You can see people running to rejoin from side streets from the aerial view on city tv. Take it through the suburbs into the city centre at a sensible time and we’ll get a huge turnout. Daft waiting until after the cup final too because that affects the turn out if we lose.Lol 30000. You are Peter Swales.
Doesn't look like he even watched it. "wasted, barely vertical, completely incoherent" "shit-faced".
I watched the whole thing, and didn't see any of our players looking like those descriptions.
I’m glad you had a grand day out and enjoyed your proximity to the players and trophy. Maybe I’m jaundiced, as I’ve rarely idolized footballers (having grown up around them) and it has always been the excitement and suspense of the game, rather than the palaver associated with the aftermath, for me.‘Hate to say it, but parades are an old, tired, pre-internet/socials/streaming holdover’.
If you thought that about the parade on Sunday you weren’t there, and you still don’t get it, regardless if you’ve been to City parades previously.
Myself and many City fans enjoy a parade. I had a great day, celebrating with friends in the Moon Under Water on Deansgate, and then watching the parade, and seeing the City players lifting the PL trophy as the buses went past
I missed out on the treble parade last season because I was still in Instanbul. I wasn’t going to miss out on the parade this season.

In my opinion Sunday night on a bank holiday is pretty good, but I agree there would have been more if we’d have won the cup.I went but I had to push myself to go as I’d only got home from London 2 hours before I had to go out again and I was knackered. Glad I made the effort now
I know people who didn’t go cos we lost, didn’t go cos of the day/time, didn’t go cos of the weather
There’s no doubt if we’d have won the cup, and if it had been held on the Monday afternoon and the sun had been shining, the turnout would have been at least 5 times more
The reference to stewards bolstering the crowd was actually a response to the photo someone posted earlier in this thread of United's 2011 parade where their bus was travelling down a three quarters empty Deansgate. It certainly wasn't a reference to our parade on Sunday - I was actually there and it was a fantastic turnout. Ps, I finally joined in May 2013 to contribute to the Mancini farewell tribute we posted the gazzetta dello sport.May 2013. 122 posts.
Mancini farewell tribute collection and he kindly sent us an acknowledgment back, we’ve been so lucky since then, I’ll never get bored of the trophy parade. It’s a great day out for City fans to be together in town at one with the players Pep and our staff. The reference to stewards bolstering the crowd was actually a response to the photo someone posted earlier in this thread of United's 2011 parade where their bus was travelling down a three quarters empty Deansgate. It was great wasn't it and like you alluded to it was a brilliant opportunity for the kids to see their hero's in person especially those who don't get the chance to attend games. Me and my mates only got off the train at 6pm on Sunday from Euston but made sure we were on Deansgate at 7.30 to witness it.Mancini farewell tribute collection and he kindly sent us an acknowledgment back, we’ve been so lucky since then, I’ll never get bored of the trophy parade. My daughters and grandson got up really close outside Next when the players got off the bus every trophy might be the last one. So going to take the kids and the grandkids to soak up the atmosphere instead of playing on their IPads, town was packed with City fans. Enjoying themselves Ive got a video but struggling to post it.
It did look good. Fans get really close to the players and everyone gets to let their hair down. Long may it continueThanks to all the top Blues who celebrated the Clubs’ achievements, at the end of another fantastic season. I couldn’t be there but it looked like a great evening. It certainly cements the connection between players, managers and fans as other Bluemooners have commented.
Absolutely. It's also a step on the ladder re. supporting the Blues for families who struggle to get tickets. I think the parades are fantastic. It did look good. Fans get really close to the players and everyone gets to let their hair down. Long may it continue
