Trouble in the East Stand??

Ejections in 109

It will come to a head, these things always do. Eventually the arrogant pricks from showsec will pick on the wrong person and before you know it all hell will break loose and escalate as often happens with the types that tend to make up the more vociferous area's of the ground. There have been no stewards or coppers near the toilet at the back of the SS since the Europa league game last season when showsec again got overly heavy handed with a smoker, resulting in several coppers having to assist a tactical retreat from a baying crowd that had finally had enough of showsecs antics. The smoker was in the wrong and handled differently would no doubt have been escorted out without issue but when some jumped up car park attendant and 3 of his cronies start the animosity and get hands on, what do they really expect.

We pay their wages and they treat us like shit!

Hate them, hate health and safety, hate Fletcher and starting to get pissed off with modern football.

Sign that petition that some guy above posted!!!! ^^^

Re: Ejections in 109

We need to address this problem in a polite and mature manner. I think we could organise one of those 'tifo' things, when we get the whole of the southstand against Villareal.

Re: Ejections in 109

I'm in 109 about 8 seats in from the steps that divide us and 108. What i have noticed is that these bullies seem to pick on mostly teenage lads of small stature, especially the dick that looks like an overgrown Harry Potter!

I have been to a couple of games last season where i was the first one in that was standing and had a few dirty looks off these thugs but i've just looked back as if to say "bully me and you'll get a crack", it has worked so far. I'm in my mid forties, not a hooligan, just a passionate blue that enjoys standing.

I wash i'd relocated now to 110 or 111 as i really don't need some jumped up six fuckin foot sherbet lime lookalike giving it out telling me to sit down.
I normally have tolerance to these OTT wankers but when i see them bullying fans it makes my blood boil. I think it's gonna kick off soon if they continue their intimidatory tactics.

Re: Ejections in 109

You have to wonder why someone would take a job like that, you really have to be a pathetic jobsworth to spend 90 minutes with your back to the action waving your arms up and down, strutting around and generally being a complete prick.

Why were none of these nonentities doing the same to the Napoli fans last week?, it is the double standard that grate. I watch the Bundesliga and Serie A on ESPN and the atmosphere and colour is completely different to the sterile Premier League match day experience...enormous flags, smokebombs etc, Fletcher would be ranting and jumping up and down like the despot he is at the sight of that, it is just such a shame that we take all this "control" in this stadium.

I remember when this happened in the south stand a few years ago before the stewards got fed up of trying.

I spoke to a steward who tod me its something to do with MCC and Health and Safety.... which is quite frankly... Barking!

Since when has standing been dangerous, also why is it safe up until kick off, then dangerous for 45 minutes then safe for 15 and dangerous again? Surely if there was a danger about standing, then it would exist all the time.... NOT come and go!

I put this to the steward whose response was "It's the council, and I'm just doing my job".

I also find it ironic, that stewards who are stood up are telling people to sit down! They also walk along a row to get someone to sit down, but to get past other spectators, they have to stand up..... it really is fooking crazy!

I also wanna jump on the "Fletcher is a clit" bandwagon!

I can concur with this. Being in SSL the stewards constantly tried to get us sitting down a few years back, then just gave up. They would start at the bottom and work up - people sat down, as the stewards moved up the stand those further forward just stood up again, and hence it went. It was like painting the Forth Bridge basically. They gave up and have not bothered us since. So far...
