Trouble in the East Stand??

People should email the football supporters federation en masse, the website link is:-

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.fsf.org.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.fsf.org.uk/</a>

The relevant email addresses are on the main page and maybe a link to that you tube film would be helpful

Hopefully the antics of Showsec and Peter Fletcher's all round incompetence will reach the press, everything about the club is great but Showsec and Fletcher really are woeful.

I can't believe we're seeing things like this in 2011 at a home game. The club really need to address this issue before a riot breaks out at a future game.

i was one of those obediently sitting down in colin bell stand and saw the trouble and thought (like many around me ) that it was villa fans who had got into 109.

After seeing the vids i must say the stewards and police are a disgrace. the guy was sat down ffs when they started to rough him up and hope the cowardly bastards get their retribution

Ive been thrown out at maine road many blue moons ago ( north stand ) for asking a copper if he was a scouser ( im not making it up ) when he told me to hurry up and sit down just after the second half started, so know from experience how power goes to some idiots heads. though we were 3 - 0 down to liverpool at the time and he did me a favour by not having to endure the second half

If people want to stand let em stand. thats where the atmosphere comes from. failing that give us all a flask of soup and a tartan blanket

not seen the video's but read the thread, a horrible thing to happen at a football match and I hope the man is ok.

I hope this gets resolved between city and the security firm ending in the guilty parties being punished. I personally would prefer if the stewarding wasn't outsourced because you don't know who you will be getting. I'm sure i read somewhere that someone had applied for the company just to watch a match.

Having read that letter from the head of security, it sounds like if the football authorities believe that there are unsafe areas in a football ground they have the power to reduce the capacity. I for one hope that doesn't happen.

I actually feel sick to my stomach after watching that video. Dreadful. I went to the top with the guy with his daughter. She was having a bad panic attack. This needs to be sorted ASAP, the situation could have been a whole lot worse. I hope every body involved is ok, especially the elderly guy, and the guy with the young girl.

What a shocking sequence of events.

Whilst I absolutely hold no sympathy for anyone deliberately provoking the Club in the sit-down/stand-up debate, what I find incredible from watching this footage is the absolute lack of common sense and judgement on the part of these so called professionals who, less we forget, are employed to ensure our safety.

Ineffective leadership, abject incompetence, deplorable decision making. Guilty on all 3 counts.

If this is pursued by the CPS, would those that seen it be happy to be called as witnesses?
