Here's the 'Men in Pink' (1974 version) invading the Swamp pitch in their Bay City Rollers trousers and Val Doonican sweaters after Denis Laws infamous backheel , in a vain attempt to get the game abandoned , and fight with City fans ....... yet another fine example of classless , under-priviliged , ugly , illiterate , scruffy yobs who find defeat just to hard to take!

Looking at that third picture it looks like they used coppers for linesman in those days!

I can't find it any more, but after the Sept 11th attacks on New York, there was a picture taken of a rag flag attached to the fence at ground zero, with a couple of goons paying homage.

It said something like NYC - mufc, united in grief, 1958 - 2001.

Just remember being struck by the amazing arrogance, and lack of awareness of that at the time, to even consider the two events in the same thought.
