Turning Point

funnily enough I think the 0-0 at liverpool might constitute a turning point, for the better.

I hope you didn't see the game after that as a positive?

i did see the performance as broadly positive. we outplayed them for long periods, no-one has come away from the britannia with a win this year, and if we'd taken just one of the chances, we surely would have done.. it was a shame that we let it slip but hopefully the players will realise that if they do follow the gameplan properly, not just for the first 30 minutes, the results will come.

+1, completely uncalled for.

Police well at fault that day and have never been brought to justice. I'm with the scousers on that one.

The terraces weren't at fault or the people in it. It was the divvies controlling the ticket line (that never happened) and opening the gates that day that cost lives.

RIP to those that lost there lives that day.

You think I'm wrong for that? Barmpot. Do one.

I remember wanting to join the police, and then seeing how corrupt they were in a documentry of Hillsborough.

The fans got blamed for it and now we have all seater stadium's. Fuckin joke.

The moment it all went wrong. No question about it.

Thought we needed to be a little more streetwise in that situation. Only Barry got involved, all the players should have been right in the refs face asking him for more police and stewards to be placed in that area because they didn`t feel safe.
That incident resulted in their first goal, but at the end of the day poor defending cost us that game and e few more since.
I agree,i still say van der sar should have got in deep shit for getting rid of the bottles etc that were thrown, mancini should have taken all the players off the pitch & not returned until Bellers was 100%.
The fletcher assault on Micah when the twat actually got a free kick stank the place out.

Oh well. I seem to remember that word used many times this season. IF!

the moment it went wrong was the sacking of MH

or how about a certain comment made in america?

the sacking of MH was before cook said what he said

the sacking of MH is where it went wrong......it caused unrest with certain players, it caused a change in management style which again caused unrest and it caused a change in tactics whih has led to poor performances....i also believe that if we had had MH in chagre for the CC semi we would have beated utd.....at 2-1 in the first leg, MH would have gone for it...he would hav pushed the team to get a thrid or even fourth goal with 20 odd mins left on the clock becaue he knows all too well that going to OT with a 2-1 lead is in reality going with no lead at all.....however Mancini made defensive substitutiotns and sat back......nearly costing us the first game and definately costing us the tie.

you can see it with the players when they are on the pitch that they are not happy with teh system or the tactics that they are being made to play in.

At 2-1 in the first leg Les would have gone for it, and we would have conceded 3.

Staggers me how many people really believe we would have won the semi, we didn't get a pint against the rags while Hughes was in charge.

Alkso wondering how things have gone wrong since Hughes was sacked, when our results since the decision to sack Hughes was made have been significantly improved.

Every game is turning point according to the doom mongers. And they are all point downwards.

Yet we are 5th with a game in hand!

Moomba...correct me if i am wrong, but havent we lost more games under mancini than we did this season under MH?

and you are wrong in my opinion about the 1st leg of the semi....att 2-1 we were clearly in the accendancy but then mancini made 2 (i think but definately one) defensive substitutions that almost cost us the game (or at least the win).....We would have scored more ifhe had gone more attacking as utd were there for the taking and werent in the game at that point
