Turnstiles Broke! Massives Queues Outside The Ground

You can also add trying to get a fucking tram. Stood at Ashton for 25 minutes with fuck all coming and no announcements with the display system saying next tram 2 minutes!! Then you get there to be greeted by the shambles of trying to get in the stadium.
Would be tempted to start driving to the games in future if only I could find somewhere to park!
Belle Vue fella. Free parking and only a 12 to 15 mins walk to the game. Straight out after and up Hyde Road to the M60.

If we had a shit team to watch then there'd be little problem with queues at the turnstiles or the bars.

Just like the good old days.

Nonsense, we often sold and now things are just organised worse and too many extra seats not matched by the facilities, including turnstiles, toilets, bars etc.

Heard it all now. Fans having a pint at half time are ruining the spectacle for other fans. Believe it or not your average fan will have quick pint at half time, always has been always will be. We alternate between mates who gets the beers in, so all of us bar the one getting the drinks in will see the whole of the first half.
My point was the service is shocking these days whether that's getting a pie of having a beer. It's never been an issue in the past.
If you say I belong in the pub I think by the same token you belong in a theatre
No offence but your "average" fan ( thankfully) doesn't have a pint at half time or stands would be empty for the second half .I honestly struggle to see why the half time pint is so important. You get 15 minutes to get from your seat, order a pint, drink it and then get back to your seat. Unless you're prepared to miss about 10 minutes of the game you're not going to do it. Maybe it's just me but I go to watch football. If I want a pint I'll have one before or after

Your missing my point. The issue is the lack of organisation and customer service which has suddenly crept in. It doesn't matter if your getting food or drink, the bottom line is that its poor service for the price you pay.
Everyone has their own pre-match routine, (each to their own though) and mine is having few beers before hand and quick one at half time which has always been the case. Never had an issue before this season for making the second half. Service is simply shocking

Some do, some don't. Yes, obviously we all go to watch the football, but a lot of people also go to the match and meet up with mates and have a pint with them and if that is at half time then fine. Nothing 'not normal' about that. Everybody has there own preferences in their match day routine and are perfectly entitled to do what they want - have a pint at half time or don't, do whatever you want. Go to the pub before the game or pitch up later and go straight in. Go to the bar on 35 minutes to get served or stay in your seat during the break. Leave a couple of minutes before the final whistle or stay and clap the team off if that's what you want to do. Just do whatever you prefer.

I personally always meet up before the match in the pub and have a pint at half time. It's just what I (and my family and mates) have always done and will always continue to do. As regards the previous points about service in the ground, it has got worse and needs addressing.

Don't have a pint at halftime but understand that many do and it seems to me to be completely chaotic. Very poor that fans get such terrible service and it is definitely upsetting a lot of people.

where are FA or PL inspectors. The ones that complain if we stand up or sing songs they dont approve of.

Simple, a fine for those responsible..

Who are you Linford Christy. It used to take me 1/2 an hour at a brisk walk to get to the stadium when I used to park at Belle Vue

I think you two may have solved the queue problem. Pissheads go to the pub, moaners go to the Theatre. It will leave us with a 1/2 empty stadium with plenty of seat room and easy access in and out of the ground. There sorted, end of thread.

Part of the whole fabric of football is meeting up with your mates for a beer, I think stadiums would soon empty if we were not able to do this. Its a working class sport and many football clubs evolved from workers clubs etc. So for people to say you shouldnt be having a pint at half time is absolutely absurd. I sit in level 1 and my mate does also. He moved to level 1 so we could meet before the game and at half time for a pint in the stadium. The wall has now put stop to that, and the chances of getting a pint with less than 2 minutes before kick off are now a joke.
So my city 'experience' as the club like to call is pretty wank to be honest
1. cant get in the stadium
2. cant get a pint
3. i have sto stand all the way through the game, in a seated stadium (i'm aisle 120) away from the singing section
4. There is a great fuckin wall built in what was a lovely concourse

You're spot on. Those who say about the product on the pitch being so good have a small point, but are missing a larger one. Most of us were there, and would still be there if we were shit, losing every week, so the football on offer and the results are largely irrelevant. Of course it's great to win, great to see the best football being played, but the majority of the 'experience' of actually going to games is the meeting family/friends, having a good time and making a noise.

City fans preaching to City fans about half-time activities, hilarious. We are a funny bunch.

A few are mentioning not seeing the security wands? I might have an explanation for that and this is a true story. The mrs got her bag checked, after fumbling around for a bit they pulled out her 9" inch multispeed wet and dry love truncheon. After they inspected it, they let her through and we thought nothing of it. We got home about 9ish, a couple of Prosecco's and pudding & chips later (always does the trick) she got a bit amorous and decided lob out the love truncheon. Imagine our surprise when she pulled out a Showsec Security Wand...

Showsec Dave, I've got your wand. Any chance we can have Daisy back?

PS With slick service 15 mins is plenty of time to buy and sink a pint.

The lack of swift decisive action from the club when the M1M2 turnstiles failed on Saturday was very disappointing. The stewards present just could not help as they were not given instructions from above in a timely fashion. The whole situation could have been avoided with better communication. The customer experience seems to be getting worse IMO with poor comms, euro away tickets situation etc

I had my 7 year old son with me and entering the ground via the 'crush' was extremely awkward, were it not for a couple of kind hearted senior blues my son could have gotten injured in the subsequent resulting melee. Thank you, to whoever you are, its reassuring to know that despite the clubs failings and the criticism we get, our support is still the best. Quality over Quantity every time!
