I remember when I was about 6, Ian Durie came on top of the pops, singing hit me with your rhythm stick. I was behind that sofa so ****** quick ! He just scared the life out of me for some reason.

For me it was the Sea Devils. We lived not far from Southsea where it was filmed so as an impressional 6 year old recognising the area where they came out of the sea meant a scream and a behind the sofa hide.
