TV as a kid

Andy Pandy
Bill and Ben
The Woodentops

405 lines B&W TV - I remember it breaking one night, but I was able to tune my portable radio (with 9 transistors!!!) to get the sound, so my mum and I sat and listened to "mutiny on the Bounty"!

Casey Jones (the tootin of the whistle)
The Clangers (& the soup dragon)
Bleep & Booster (blue peter cartoon)
Maria (aqua maria)
Can anyone remember who was the lad who could go underwater after he had some chewing gum?

Bagpuss
Champion the wonder horse
Zorro
Lassie
Skippy
Tiswas
Saturday Swapshop
Grange Hill
The Lone Ranger
Sportsnight
It's a Knockout
Grandstand
World of Sport.

Blimey, i must have watched quite a bit of telly!

As a kid, I remember not having a telly! First TV prog I saw was the '55 Cup Final, the second the '56 Final. Like the '56 one best!
