TV Series

Just finished Virdee on BBC and a decent watch. Kind of fizzled out towards the end a bit but the first 3/4 episodes were really good and intriguing but then it just went mainstream bog standard drugs / criminals series. Worth watching and seems like a series 2 will come.

I'm 3 episodes into This City is Ours and agree as long as you can get past the scouse accents its a good watch, looking forward to seeing where it goes from here
You need to put subtitles on the scouse language is that thick and really hard to understand, but a good watch all the same.

Madame Blanc Mysteries on C5 back for a 4th series.
A guilty pleasure of mine.
Marlene and the 70's porn star worth watching to see how bad they can get.
Sally Lindsay always worth a watch.

After seeing so many shoutouts for ‘Severance’ I thought I should give it a go.

After two episodes I’m not really sure about it yet.

It could grow on me. But at the minute I’m thinking it more likely to be filed away in the box I call the ‘Minority Report’ department. Things that sound like a really good idea but actually turn out to be a bit shit.
My innie still refuses to watch it.

Again I didn't listen
I posted on here that I've started Tin Star and was told it goes down hill after season one. And definitely agree with that review.

Season One of Justified starts out as a "fugitive of the week" show while carefully fleshing out the other characters, and slowly world building the setting of Harlan County. However, there's an episode in S1 "Hatless" where the main protagonist Raylan Givens loses his trademark hat in a bar fight. "Can you keep it down? I didn't order assholes with my whiskey" and he then spends the rest of the episode trying to get his hat back, and that's when the series "clicked" for me.

"Hey Mister, that's a 10 gallon hat on a 20 gallon head."

Iv been meaning to get back into justified. Finished season 1 about 5 years ago and forgot about it. It came up on a YouTube short I was watching after deadwood. Anyway, jumped back in 2 weeks ago. Started with season 1 and now midway through season 3.

It’s brilliant. Love the characters and the dodgy dealings. Didn’t give Boyd enough credit when I first watched it. Now he is one my favourites. The line is blurred with each of them between good/bad and everything in between.

Deadwood is still my top western tv show but justified is not far behind. Lot of the same actors starred in both.
