TV Series

No. Indeed.
But I don’t feel that alters either of my points, firstly about my interest in watching the new series starting Wednesday based on one of his other books, nor secondly my enjoyment of the scripts for Slow Horses.

No I agree, was more making the point as I don’t think it should matter to the poster you were asking the question to about whether he’d watch it :)

I haven’t minded this series of slow horses. I’ve hated some of the acting in some of the previous ones.

Anybody watching Celebrity Traitors? It's proven to be a big family hit in my household. The celebrities are very bad at playing the game

It’s the only tv show we watch as a family nowadays.

Found it really interesting how different it is to when it’s the public playing, it’s such a good format that both versions work so well.

Ah understood, thanks

My concern when they announced a celebrity version, was that it isn't really going to work because, unlike the public, they're not really playing for anything other than pride.

But they are all bang into it. I won't give names for those who've not seen it yet, but the guy who got voted out the other day looked like he was going to burst into tears.

Best non sports programme on the TV for sure.

It’s such a good format as it taps into the human condition so well, anyone playing it (or watching it) can’t help but be invested.

I strongly recommend "Task", if it's available to you. The first episode I wasn't completely sold on, but watched the rest straight through. Really enjoyed it

Cousin to "Mare of Eastown", which Kate Winslet was excellent in

Yep got into traitors only this year as something to watch with my teenage daughter (she’s given up on Disney) so we’ve binge watched the first 3 seasons and now on the celebrity one, it’s brilliant, they are so out their comfort zones it’s great viewing, I love the fact Alan Carr has gone from a sweating wreck to a ruthless bastard and Jo the rugby player looks like he wants to rip Jonathan Ross a new one.
Yeah it's nice having something we can all sit together and watch. Joe has suddenly decided to cause damage and he's not messing around

Boots on Netflix. 8 episode series about an 18 year old homosexual joining the US Marines and trying to hide it. Binge watched it in a day and really enjoyed it.

Currently watching the new bob + paul. Very disappointing.
This has run its course now, and they're just going through the motions.
No guests to speak of, no banter, no dodgy cooking, far too much pointless coverage of Ted, and not many fish caught.
Might sound harsh, cos I love Bob + Paul, but this new series is a bit shit.
I recall someone on here saying it should be a once a year thing, on this showing I tend to agree.
I still love the cinematic shots of the venues, and I could listen to them chat all day, but for me the original ideals of the show have been lost.
Maybe im just a bit down after today's result, was looking forward to being cheered up.

if you're indicating myself about the comments, you should read what I said.

Maybe, then, you'll reassess my own position.

Maybe you can put it in spoilers for me, the intention of 'Task' because if you take out Mark Ruffalo's acting, I'm not sure there's a piece of work that cobbles together well for the spine. For me, I think I'm pretty good at seeing the strands that run parallel or the core backbone, but didn't here.

Cheers.

The current Slow horses isn't as good as previous series but is still better than a lot of in my view. I find it pretty funny in places (the paint tin and consequences made me laugh out loud). I like the main characters and their interactions, really enjoyable for me.
