TV Series

I really enjoyed slow horses S5. I do agree the overall story is probably the weakest so far but its not poor and is compensated by this series being by far the funniest to date. Some genuinely laugh out loud one-liners in this series and Oldham once again killing it everytime he's on screen. Still the best thing on TV by a mile.
We binged it until the end (only 6 episodes :( ) and I have to go back on my earlier post, we thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm already missing it but season 6 is already on the way thankfully.

Slow Horses 5 was decent if a little broad. I didn't like the mayors as I don't think it was as clever a satire as they were aiming for. It's never been a show that's realistic but I think it did miss grounding some of the characters in their issues and there is a piece of slapstick that particular irked me. Still an entertaining show because it's fun to see the characters interacting

Down Cemetery Road is similar but feels confused tonally with some broad lampooning of characters with quite serious consequences. Probably would be better without the comedy but less of a Heron style

No love for Boyd? One of the all time great bad guys

Just watching Episode 5 of the latest series of Trigger Point. Absolutely ridiculous. Just how long does it take to evacuate a building? A fortnight by the look of it. They need to bin this as it's clearly run it's course.

My punishment for sticking with Brassic even though it was going downhill fast was not only a bad final season but the most pathetic last episode and ending ever put onto the small screen.

I hope the writers get scammed by a Nigerian prince, lazy bastards.

Watched "The Hack" on ITV about the phone hacking scandal by the News of the World. An important story absolutely ruined by David Tennant regularly doing bits to camera. There were also a few other bits that made the whole thing a total pile of shit.

Thought it might be another Mr Bates vs the post office. Gave up after 2 episodes. Utter wank.

Celebrity Traitors what a brilliant ending, I won’t spoil it but the last bit was great TV.

And to me it emphasised why it's much better and more watchable than the 'normal' version; the fact that they are playing for charities makes it a completely different type of show. The standard version is imo pretty unpleasant viewing, whilst this has been a highly entertaining,
