TV Series

It's excellent, not sure why I stopped after 3 seasons now.

The Viking blood eagle scene at, I think, the end of the second series is one of the only times I can say my toes have well and truly curled.

I’m three episodes in and it looks I’ll be sticking with it.

Finally got around to watching Life on Mars having never seen it all these years it's been out.
My favourite from Gene Hunt - "He's got fingers in more pies than a leper on a cookery course!"
I lol'd.

I'm binge watching Heroes now on Amazon Prime:

I like the series quite a bit. It's quasi-similar to Agents of Shield - in that certain individuals are possessed with superpowers. It departs from AoS in that, Heroes is mostly about how the Heroes might impact society and possibly bring about the end of the world, and moreso, about how society reacts to such a possible threat - from detaining bad actors, to detaining all enhanced humans, to exterminating Heroes altogether.

I very much enjoyed the first 2 seasons.

In season 3, I still enjoy the show - yet the same old tropes resurface time-and-again - and, completely out-of-character, some Heroes take actions far at odds with past behavior.

Still, if you like Agents of Shield - and that sort of genre - I think you'll enjoy Heroes.

On Amazon, unfortunately, Heroes is free to view - but with annoying commercials. You can purchase the series - which I've done to avoid this - but for season one, you need to purchase each individual episode - so the cost to purchase the full season one is a bit high.

Make sure you watch Heroes Reborn as well.

Masterpiece is a word that definitely should be used here.
One of the greatest pieces of television I've seen. Spoiled most things afterwards. You're definitely 'in it' rather than seeing the strings/seeing actors and immersed in a believable world (why I have an issue with the likes of Peaky Blinders).

I was expecting a second series but nothing yet....
the second series was waiting for the publishing of the third novel. It has been commissioned by bbc and will be made by the same team as Wolf Hall. I recon it will hit screens sometime next year. Following Wolf Hall I was fortunate enough to see Mark Rylance on stage in the west end. Genius is a word that is overused these days but can be applied to him as an actor.
