The one thing that puts me off is that he just doesn’t look like how Bosch is described in the books or how I see him in my mind
Totally. Took me probably the whole first season to get used to Titus Welliver but doesn't bother me now and is a very good show once you get past that.

Thank you, you've just (partly) cheered her up.
Manifest has all the ingredients that I like in a TV series and should have been something I really got into but for some reason couldn't.
Think it was mainly down to the cast not being great and the acting being a bit shit.

Haha don’t get me started on Jack Reacher. The Bosch series is a very good adaptation of the novels, but Ive always imagined him looking more like Dennis Franz (from Hill Street Blues/NYPD Blue)

My Mum's read all the books and couldn't watch the films as Cruise is too small for the roll.

the character in the books is built like a brick shithouse and is 6ft 5. thats basically the Rock.

they have got closer with the TV series.
