TV Series

Started watching Time last night and thought it very watchable. Said to the wife that the teacher sounded like Sean Bean with all his mannerisms. That's because it is Sean bean she said. My god if he's not aged since Sharpe's Rifles.
Just finished it and one of the best BBC series I've seen. Safe to say Sean Bean's acting has improved with age like a fine old wine with a sad ending bringing forth emotion from all that watched. I enjoyed Sharpes Rifles but a more wooden actor back then would have been difficult to find. His charisma pulled him through leading him on to greater things and was amazed Wilko Johnson took his head in GOT season one.

I thought it was terrific. Fabulous acting from Sean and Stephen Graham, full on Jimmy McGovern full of the big themes in life. guilt, redemption, forgiveness. Its quite a difficult watch at times but it smacks of truth. Think you will continue to enjoy it mate.

Read this whole post and thought to myself 'im sure someone just posted something similar to this'. I was right, it was you :)

I notice that all 4 series of “The Bridge” are now available on iPlayer for 7 months. If you’ve not seen this, I recommend you give it a go (I voted it #2 in my all-time list on here recently).

It certainly made me think more deeply about the role of the state in punishing/rehabilitating miscreants.
Wilki Johnson? He of Dr Feelgood fame ? An axeman extraordinary. Hadn’t realised it was he that swung the axe :-)

Steady on! It was good. It wasn't brilliant. The fact that I worked it out in the 2nd episode didnt help!

Also winslet vaping... I'd had enough of that after 30 mins.
I'd agree with FI myself, it's the best thing the wife and myself have watched forever. Neither of us guessed the ending though, so perhaps that coloured your view of it.

It’s a bit unfair to call somebody out for not thinking a tv series is as great as others do.
Everyone has their own reasons for enjoying certain tv, films, music etc.
Half the stuff I like would probably be called shite by others but fuck it, as long as I like it then it doesn’t matter.
In the interest of balance though I’m gonna watch it when I get home from my little break and I’ll happily report back my findings :-)
