TV Series

I think actors work in more than just films tbf.

He has worked relentlessly on the stage in theate for decades, as for films, V for Vendetta, Mr Holmes, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, tamara drewe are a few that comes to mind
I won't argue about this any further but I'm mystified why you would think Roger allam is one of the world's best actors.
Just the three I mentioned are among the world's best actors and you would rate him amongst them.
He did have a part in those four films you mentioned but didn't star in any one of them.
For me is just one of those actors you see on television now and again.

I never saidnhe was, jist pointed put being in a major film isn't a measure of an actors worth or ability.

Many actors work on the stage and rarely work in film Paul Scholfield one such then you have people like Patrick Stewart decades known as a great shakesperean actor, yet most think TNG or x-men when talking about him as his achievements, when really he was already a top actor

Anyone watching "the cleaner" a greg davies thing on I player?
Some great acting and genuinely piss funny lines.
Re the tattoed milf- "you haven't seen her back mate, it's all anchors and sea monsters, it's like shagging a treasure map"
Mitchell is top drawer in one of the episodes, as is that lady out of doc martin later on. Enjoyed it.
Very very funny in parts, blacker than night and some great cameos

I agree, from script to charcater,it was utter nonsense and typical BBC Woke bollocks.
They are really hit and miss the BBC drama dept at the moment. Mainly miss. Vigil, the bodyguard, the last few line of duties. All crap but with over the top promotion telling people how the nation is gripped.

I’m binning Vigil off now. It’s so wildly unbelievable it’s annoying. Same as Line of Duty which is just so over the top it’s laughable.

Working my way through Gomorrah. Halfway through series 2. It’s violent but bloody good. Does it deteriorate in Series 3 and 4 or maintain its high standard?
