TV Series

Watched the first episode of The Tourist on BBC1. Very promising start - a central memory loss riddle to solve with lots of quirky characters getting involved.

This feels different to many of the “oh you must watch this and we’ll ram it down your throat at every opportunity”-type things that the BBC have done recently.
Should have been heavily edited. Tried too hard to be quirky. The whole LSD episode could have been cut. Still enjoyed the arc of the story though and stuck with it...

Toast of London has moved to the BBC and the world’s worst actor has moved to Hollywood, Toast of Tinseltown.
For me the best British sitcom of the last 20 years, first episode was last night with cameos from Larry David and Kayvan Novak.
All episodes and all the previous series from C4 are now on the iPlayer.
Watch it from the beginning if you’ve never seen it, absolutely brilliant stuff with an occasionally surreal edge and imo Matt Berry is probably only bettered by his mate Bob Mortimer as the nation’s most naturally funny man

A very distinctive type of comedy but I really enjoyed my time watching Toast.

Just binged watched the first series and it’s certainly different, I don’t remember seeing him in anything but the voice was bothering me, I had heard it somewhere. Appears it’s the one he puts on for absolute radio voiceovers haha.
