TV Series

I’d enjoyed “The Bay” previously but this latest series features an English Asian boxer who was murdered, he has a deaf School Kid brother who looks about 30 years old. One of the lines of investigation was to visit local bookmakers shops and find out if any significant money had been staked on an Amateur fight, yhey found someone had £10k on. No high street bookmaker would price up an amateur fight (apart from Olympics, National finals) and there’s no chance any bookmakers would take that size bet on a minor event. The bookmaker also gave the name of the punter to the Police, if anyone is trying to initiate a betting coup there’s no way they are going to leave their credentials, it’s absolutely preposterous. So many TV programme’s interpret betting incorrectly.
The casting of the deaf kid was ridiculous. He looked about 45 not 16. Other than that and what you mention it was pretty good I thought.

Started watching The Responder with Martin Freeman who I like.
Omg it was like a cheese grater in my ears for an hour. Scouse accents and I almost used the sub titles.
Fair play to my other half.
“Is Martin Freeman a dipper in real life”.

Ah it’s very good. And grim as it is, some wonderful humour, particularly with Marco and Casey.

Watching Putin's statement on BBC news last night and my daughter says "Is that his actual voice? He sounds like a woman!"

"No love, that's the translator's voice."
