I watched the first half of the first ep of Battlestar and thought it was horrible.
It did put me off that there was a whole prequel mini series and a 2 episode 3 hour piolet that was prequel to even that.
I didn't know where to start and it just did my head in so I turned it off.

I watched the first ep of Banshee and it seemed ok. Liked the oral sex scene - obviously.

Ended up watching the first two eps of Dexter and that seemed ok.
To be honest, most things just seem to pale in comparison to Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

if you do go back to battlestar galactica watch in said order...

dont worry about caprica which was a prequal series that never took off but if you do get into it and watch the whole of battlestar then Blood & Chrome (stand alone film which takes us back to adama as a fresh recruit) is also worth a watch.

The Sopranos or Breaking Bad? firmly a Sopranos man couple of the lads look at me like ive got 6 heads when i say its better than BB.

I'd heard all the hype about Breaking Bad before watching it. My honest assessment is that because it wasn't on British tele it was overhyped as an underground sort of programme. It's good, but it's not that good.

Its not even good in my opinion, because of the hype I gave it a good try, got to the start of the 2nd season around episode 3 and packed it in. The characters aren't likeable whatsoever and the plot is a bit stagnant. Only tv show i've given p on and i've seen my fair share.

Loving this ^, just finished the mini series and on to season 1.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned before, but I am half way through a HBO mini series called The Corner. It's by the same people who later went on to do the Wire, same theme - drugs but mostly seen from the users point of view, and there are a couple of actors in it from the same programme.

Would recommend it.

Breaking bad is good but it's not even in the same league as the sopranos!

The wire and the sopranos are the best tv shows ever!!

Anyone watched underbelly?Highly recommend it. Australian gangster series. No Sopranos but well worth a watch.

Orange is the new black - another Netflix production and superb doesn't do it justice, it's very similar to Oz but based around a females prison with fantastic comedy thrown in- 9/10, highly recommend (for the carpet munching alone)

Series 2 is the best, a brief chopper introduction kind of puts the level he was operating at into perspective...... George freeman is class, helps it's all based on real life!!
