So, hear me out...
'X-men '97' is... AWESOME! Yes, it's a cartoon, yes, it goes at a 100mph, but it visits the 'X-Men' characters better than any of the films and actually gives 'Cyclops' the leadership missing in the live versions, with none of the wimpy D persona he's known for in them.
They're fairly short, pack a punch in them and you tend to question how they managed to get some of the themes in a show billed 'for kids'!
Honestly, I took curiosity having read the comics in the late 80s and through the 90s and thought why have they chosen to look back at that period. Glad it caught my attention! If you were a fan of comics back then, it's well worth having a gander!
