TV Series

Lockerbie, opening scene is brilliant, the story I didn’t really know much about in regard the trial evidence etc, not sure if he did it or was complicit in it, but I can definitely see the cover and deception by the governments been a thing, all a set of bastards in the name of oil yet again it seems. Thought it was very good and at just 5 episodes just long enough.

I struggle to watch anything with politics as the main thrust/plot because I now doubt the impartiality of film makers. I have heard it's a good film though but too many people take it on as truth.

Not saying you do mate.

Day of the Jackal - thought was good although some plot holes - 6.5/10

Lockerbie - only 2 episodes in, Colin Firth has been excellent so far in it. I was only 7 when it happened so has been interesting to learn a lot more about it, have been googling things about it to see what is real and what is made up for the show.

That’s the thing with it pal it raises more questions than answers and the fact a lot of the stuff has been classified and no public inquiry tends me to believe there was a lot more too it than we will ever know. Was the Libyan guy involved or was he a patsy who knows, yet for the father of one of the victims who seemed a very intelligent person to believe he was does raise eyebrows.

Think it’s fine as long as you know the source material so are watching it eyes wide open, similar to Say Nothing.

The Lockerbie series is based on the father of one of the victims books so you know it’s telling it from his personal narrative and experience.

Absolutely convinced it was the Iranians in retaliation for the US shooting down flight 655.
