TV Series

Cheers will give all them a try.watched the first 2 of killing eve last night.ok but not very realistic. On the second series of Ozark but getting bored of it.

The looming tower, all about the years running up to 9/11 and the failings of the CIA and FBI. Not sure how much it is exaggerated for tv, but it’s pretty shocking how badly the orgsnisations worked together and how it could of been prevented. Some truely awful characters in it.
Will have a look at this. The amount of information on 9/11 is simply mind boggling, I could probably fill my life researching it and still not know everything about that terrible event

I saw a new? video on that a while back. The footage was all new, shocked the shit out of me. I will try and find the link now...
Yeah share the link boss, I was very young when 9/11 took place but recently I have tried to do a lot of research on the subject as I believe it was probably one of (if not) the most significant events of the 21st century.

The footage is insane and very sobering. It was supposed to be a documentary on firefighters who worked close to the towers. So the docu makers were with the firecrews responding. Probably nsfw as you can hear people hitting stuff after jumping. Go to 52mins for the beginning of newish footage.

Ah yeah that was basically the only footage where you can see the first plane hit I think, link:

Definitely THE most significant imo, I'm pushing 60 and was off work that Tuesday, watched it all unfold after it broke on Radio 5, never left the tv until early hours of the next day, it was like watching the most far fetched disaster movie imaginable and it was played out live on our screens, we had CNN & (I think) Fox News via Sky subscription and they didn't hold anything back at the time, it seemed like war was breaking out as reports of the other aircraft crashes came in, didn't know how long it was going to continue. In my ignorance I assumed the plane's controls had been taken over remotely and they were just going to keep crashing until the authorities had got them all grounded, never occurred to me that it was an orchestrated multi-hijacking and that the perpetrators would willingly fly them into buildings, I thought it was only the Japanese kamikazes that ever went to those lengths.

I also watched the Yanks roll into Bagdad around 18mths later, felt quite euphoric at the time and marvelled at the locals twatting the statue of Saddam with their shoes when the marines pulled it over for them..

Never thought it would all still be rumbling on over 15 years later.

Can't even imagine what it would have been like to experience it. All the people who knew they were going to die and could do nothing about it, just awful

Yellowstone 2018 (Kevin Costner et al) pretty decent first series, alot darker than I was expecting. It's a modern cowboy vibe but with a disfunctional family, killing enemies, business backstabbing goings on. Worth watching if you like that genre.
