I'd suggest immediately going on a paleo diet and see if it can be reversed.

Doctors won't tell you it can be, but cut sugar and wheat out and you could completely normalise once your gut bacteria heals up. I'm not an expert, but have heard and read plenty to say diabetes can be sorted if caught and attacked head on.

Had a mate drop dead at 40 thanks to it, horrible thing to have.

It was a slow starter but this series has been great especially with so much of breaking bad coming into it.
